Alliance for academics

Create your own secure online sites and invite fellow staff and students from ANU and other universities to collaborate in your teaching and learning activities.

Alliance sites can be used for:

  • Undergraduate and Masters group projects - your students can use the tools in their group sites to do such things as set meeting times (Calendar tool), send out announcements (Group email or Announcement tool), discuss issues (Chat tool, Forum tool, Wimba web conferencing) share documents and links to resources (Resource tool) and comment on the final paper or presentation (Wiki tool).
  • Higher Research Degree (HRD) supervision - the Graduate template contains the tools your students are most likely to use in their HRD candidature. They can invite you and any other supervisors from any institution around the world into the site to comment on any aspect of their work
  • Collaborate with other academics teaching at ANU by enrolling in the ANU Teaching Forum site. News about upcoming events will be emailed to you through the Announcement tool.
